WHO WE ARE

Redux is a material-driven design studio, where process is just as important as outcome. Redux works with local restaurants to collect glass bottles and aluminum cans, transforming them into gorgeous objects.

Redux Design lives at the intersection of utility and preciousness, organic and industrial, hand and machine. We combine age-old techniques—such as glassblowing and sandcasting—with contemporary technologies like laser cutting and 3D printing, allowing materials to challenge and complement one another.  We transform the discarded and overlooked into enduring pieces.

Los Angeles’ beauty lies in its collision of industry and nature – a city shaped by niche manufacturing and experts of the trade. Rooted in collaboration, each Redux piece is sourced and fabricated in house, or with local suppliers and craftspeople.

We work directly with neighborhood restaurants, collecting discarded bottles and diverting them from LA’s broken recycling system to be processed and reborn as timeless artifacts.

We are brief visitors to the earth, each leaving behind a mountain of artifacts that will outlive us. They might as well be beautiful.
